I had the er-1 back in the day and now only have the ipad version (whcihis great ) and the vst
(demo )
For some reason , the open hihat is the only sample that sounds a bit off
Also , the hihat and cymbal have a huge cut @ 15 khz
That being said , the fun of these crappy er-1 samples was the ability to modulate the pitch with the superfast lfo’s and noise generator .
Yeah, I had a huge nostalgia hit when by chance I stumbled on the ER1 blog.
I think 32kHz was the max sampling rate, thus the cutoff.
It had envelope and pitch lfo I think, one could make all kinds of interesting sounds from the samples too.
Plus record modulations and delay modulation too.
