Emergence granular cannot be scanned

I just spent 20 dollars on a VST called Emergence which is a granular, and i read through the installation instructions and added it to the required directory and renoise refuses to scan it. I have tried 4 hours trying to fix it and i’m at my wits end thinking about requesting a refund from the website

Is it a vst3? Which folder did you install it to?

Also where are looking for it in renoise? There are 2 places, 1 for vst in the trackdsp tab and 1 for vsti in the plugins tab of the instrument editor.

I’m afraid I have to ask just to be sure, but you do Rescan, right?

Just tried the free version and it works fine. It’s an effect not an instrument, so you should find it in that section.

@BlueTail You may also want to do the following again.

  1. Exit Renoise
  2. Delete the following
    • CachedVST3s_x64.db
    • CachedFailedVST3s_x64.db
  3. Start Renoise
  4. Preferences->Plug/Misc->Rescan
