are there any emulator X user here?, to me, this will be the ultimate beast forever!
renoise + emu are made to work together!
what are your pros and cons if you hate emu and you use kontakt etc…(and vice-versa), or simply maybe you love and use both…
i’d really like to know as an “emu-addict”
ps: i own an esi4000 turbo and the X1 , and i had an E5000 and an e-synth in the past, those banks i made in the past are compatible with the emulator x
i am a big fan of their hardware samplers for their incredibly cool filters in the e ultra series! those babies could really do cool stuff when you dove in and started mangling the samples and also it had a very nice full body sound.
modular sampling! and the filters are just the most powerfull stuffs i’ve never heard in my life! (the peak/shelf/morph!)
btw, i just understood the power of softsampler “emulator X” (that many people critic and don’t understand…) 6 month ago! (i own it for 5 years and didn’t use it because i was using it as an internal vst, big mistake!!!)
now i use it as it need to be used, a completely different approach that i was doing… you need to dedicate a whole pc as an emu, and trig it by midi via another pc, just as the hardware ones, combined with the emu hardware soundcard output (the same than E4/ultra/etc) it just transforms your pc into an “real” emu legacy one (standalone), the soundquality is just outstanding, impossible to hear the difference between soft/hardware-legacy samplers when using this way, also, it’s just the exact same os, and the filters are there, + new ones
