EQ Plugin Recommendation

What do you guys use instead of the built in 5/10 EQs?

I find the tiny graph is just way too small to actually see my peaks clearly. I’m used to having a much larger EQ window, like in Logic, Ableton, Reaper, Pro Tools, FL Studio… literally every single other DAW…

Or is there some way to make the EQ graph bigger?

I use the Reaplugs (Reaper) EQ as my workhorse, I agree the Renoise EQ is too small for most purposes.

For ‘nice’ EQ on buss tracks etc, I use the TDR Slick EQ. It sounds great but uses a bit more CPU.

Wow, thanks man. I didn’t even know Reaper offers their FX plugs for free. That’s great, since I’m already familiar with Reaper. I’ll have to give those a shot.

Most of the time I just use EQ10 though, go by ear rather than by the graph.

It’s not so much that the display is too small, it’s really that there has not been any changes to it.

Yeah, i use my ears

If you’re not satisfied with r’s ones, try melda for free:

I cannot see here a feature difference to fabfilter q2…

Just started using the Overtone stuff. Great EQ, but I’m unsure as to how to change the bandwidth of a peak, or whether that can be done. ReaEQ and Melda are also great go-tos. In 2.8, ReaPlugs would crash Renoise me, having no problems in 3.0/3.1 thus far.

Meldas EQ is quite nice.

yeah i use Meldaproduction’s DynamicEq. It lets you play round with the transients of certain frequencies too which I find really useful

With the mouse wheel, if you’re referring to the AF2-10.
