I’ve been using Renoise for a couple of years now and all of a sudden I noticed something strange tonight while mixing down a song.
Is it just me, or does the Q value adjustments on the built-in EQ5 and EQ10 seem to be a bit backwards? In just about every other studio software and EQ plugin, as the Q value goes up, the EQ peak gets more sharp and precise, and vice versa. It appears that just the opposite occurs in Renoise.
Perhaps the Q value is not using the dB’s/octave measurement?
I am currently using Renoise 2.0 RC2 in case that matters.
