Yes I am late to the party, how does macOS Sequoia work on your ARM Mac device? Are plugins and Renoise compatible? Still on 14.6, but just for the new magic trackpad 3 (it’s the same as v2, only much improved scan-/framerate), I would need minimum macOS 15.1 as requirement. Might sound strange, but I think nothing counts more than a fluent input device setup…
we all on macOS26 Tahoe, which doesn’t support FireWire anymore.

i found two commands that turn off apple’s? intelligence,
and my intel running sequoia, is running quite a bit better. i keep going to rayvonOS’’s site hoping for a major update.also used this GitHub - jmarhee/apple-intelligence-disable: scripts to disable Apple Intelligence functionality on macOS

Just upgraded my rusty M1Pro MBP 16 from macos 14.6.1 to 15.7: All benchmarks (geekbench 6) are now higher, esp. Metal. Also magic trackpad 3 is quite amazing, providing finally a smooth refresh rate over bluetooth.
@imapeppertoo Thanks for that link, I also reclaimed that space, around ~8GB free space back here (I disabled AI at login screen already).
