Having played some while with distortion plugs -gotta say there is one thing I really miss from Cubase SX.

That is the ability to insert a plug-in that will route any the signal to a soundcards output, and then back into the same channel to the same place of the device chain - while being latency compensated.

This allows the use of external analog cool stuff in the device chain.

…but then again if there will be a slider of somesort to set the offsets then this can be easily routed manually…

Anyways…

Nothing you can do about PDC right now, other then manually delay channels using the delay device.

But to insert external fx in a track chain you have to use a send channel.

Set the send channel to rout the signal out to the hardware-fx. Then insert a send device in the track, and a line-in device just below it.

Now you have inserted a external fx.
