Feature Request: Global Uniform Sample Gain Control

I often set initial sample volumes (e.g., -10 dB) and build a track around those levels. Later in the process, I sometimes find the entire mix is too loud or too quiet. Currently, adjusting each sample individually is tedious and disrupts workflow.

I propose a global “uniform sample gain” control: a single slider or numeric field that scales all sample volumes proportionally, preserving their relative levels. This would allow tuning the overall mix at the sample level without affecting envelopes or track volumes.

Would other users find this useful? It seems like a workflow improvement that could save time and reduce frustration when adjusting mix balance mid-project.

I don’t get it, can’t the pre and or post master volume controls in the mixer do this?

In case you didn’t know, Renoise has headroom settings in the song options, perhaps you can fiddle with that instead of manual solutions?

How about a gainer on the master track? Would that not serve essentially the same purpose, or do you need levels adjusted pre fx?

I always have gainers on my channel strips, mix busses, premaster track, and master track in my default template. Makes working with levels much easier throughout the course of realizing a project not to have to rely solely on sample volume, volume modulation, sample fx, and mix faders alone
