something like this would be extremely helpful.
For sure this one is ver useful feature! Thanks for idea
+1 for birds eye view of the birds eye view
Not to be a dick , but when is this useful? When would you need it?
Other the example hiding a pattern pool worth of ideas at the bottom of the arrangement… looking tidier, maybe…I can’t see when it would be helpful.
To me it would simply be a matter of zooming out. Birds eye view x2
Background: I often use the autoclonepatterns tool to record long sessions - dozens and dozens of patterns. Then I add a few sections to organize things. But still, the pattern sequence often looks like an endless list of almost identical patterns.
Maybe I would not go as far as OP and call it_extremely_useful, but still got a +1 in my book
Great idea, we have foldable tracks so why not apply that same concept to the arranger. Makes things a bit easier to manage.
However, I’d like the ability to trigger playback of the entire folder (section) just as we can with theindividual patterns already.
Weizenkeim, very good idea!I wish I had something similar also in the instrument box, to classify them by groups.I proposed the inclusion of labelsto separate the instrumentsbut it seemed to have problems for the development.I guess in the matrix editor will be different and it allows to collect the group as indicated by this idea. They are so basic things that hurts they are not implemented.
When collected, you should mark the range of patterns. Example, if you pick up the patterns, that would be great in the horizontal line representing the tracks, show the number of each collected pattern:
Collected patterns:
< [48] [49] [50] [51] [52] [53] [54] [55] >
Show numbers horizontally with the possibility of horizontal scrolling. The numbers may be random. So you know what’s fold.
I love this idea!
However, I’d like the ability to trigger playback of the entire folder (section) just as we can with theindividual patterns already.
Triggering a section - you mean, just starting playback from that position and not_restricting_playback to that section?
Keyboard shortcuts CMD/CTRL + ALT + Up/Down can switch between sections. Then you can trigger, schedule etc.
With MIDI mapping, there are a few additional options - the ability to directly trigger, or even loop a particular section.
This looks awesome
Very nice!
