Gaming Keyboards

Full-sized, wireless, with macros, and a touchpad(emergency purposes ) is what I’m after but can’t seem to find something decked out like that. Corsair seems to be my best bet.

Anyone using full sized gaming keyboards with macros or perhaps touchpads?

You know gaming keyboards tend not to be full-sized nor be wireless and definitely not have a touchpad

Check out Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro if you can compromise a bit, I guess it will come with wireless connection at some point

I swear I was watching this YouTube vid when I saw your post

The V4 Pro is wireless btw but I may just have to stick with the trusty mouse and get the V4 Pro. All the other keyboards that have a mouse pad aren’t full sized and I absolutely NEED the numpad.

I wonder if the that mod wheel could be used for automation somehow?

Only the 75% version is wireless, check their website.

Alternatively you can get a separate numpad.

:man_facepalming:t5: I totally missed that. I guessed I got too excited. Checking out the Logitech G915 light speed now.

Darn it. That Razer is so sleek. Lately I’ve been more interested in the “programing” side of beat making so midi gear isn’t as exciting as cool keyboards . You can thank Renoise for that haha

Actually I think I’d like that better because of the low-profile keys.

I tend to like the clicks but this may serve my purposes. I’m still researching though, these bad boys are a bit expensive, so I want to cover most if not all of my little quirks.

I use this:

MSI Vigor GK50 Low Profile TKL… MSI Vigor GK50 Low Profile TKL Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, UK Layout - Kailh Choc White Low Profile Switches (Clicky), Ergonomic Keycaps, Anti-slip Base, Per-key RGB Mystic Light, USB 2.0 - Tenkeyless : Amazon.co.uk: Fashion

Wired, TKL layout, clicky keys (like Cherry Blue switches, but they’re some other brand) and a mostly metal chassis. It’s been better than other keyboards ive had and if it broke, I’d replace it like for like 100%.

This one’s not a gaming keyboard but it has everything, and it’s cheaper than everything else:

It’s called an Adesso WKB-4400UB

Chinese mech keyboards are unironically very good. I recommend taking a look at AliExpress. 8bitdo, Ajazz, etc…

There are countless gaming keyboards with extra buttons (and even knobs) for macros. None has touchpad, though. They’re high quality, despite costing less than half a Corsair or Razer one, and satisfactory to use.

Example (doesn’t fit your needs perfectly, but just a reference)

In the end, even the American models are assembled in China anyways

I’ve tried the Razer BlackWidow V3 and thought it was extremely underwhelming for what it costs. I don’t know about V4. Haven’t tested it yet.

Personally, I’m almost giving up and grabbing a smaller keyboard without numkeys, they’re a lot easier to find. I’m just in a comfort zone. I use the numkeys in Renoise aaaaall the time.
