Getting The Sounds Off A Sound Module

I bought a KORG NS5R sound module a few years back and used to link it up with MIDI etc.

I figured it might be nice to try and get some of the sounds into Renoise and wondered whether anyone had ever heard of maybe getting the waveform data from sound modules at all? I have a program for the KORG which can pull off all the presets but can’t work out whether any of the sound sample data comes across as well.

As it is, I’m just recording C-1, C-3 and C-5 of the best sounds manually.

With 1024 PCM sounds that’s a long process. :(

errr…But you know the difference between midi and audio, do you?

Make a connection between your synths and zour soundcard and record the audio. Voila.
