Hey all, like many musicians who have been doing the job for a while, I’ve still got gigabytes of “Gigasampler” format instruments on my hard drive (spent a fortune on it). It was one of the standard sampler formats of the 00’s but became obsolete when the program was discontinued.
There are some excellent sound libraries available in .gig format and it would be great to see them supported by RN.
Just use Linux Sampler (Available on other OS don’t worry) it is far and away the most efficient sample engine for gig files, 1:1 gig engine support, Renoises sampler isn’t designed for big sample libraries.
