Going from PC to Mac

Can I install a regged Renoise 3.4.4 on a new M4 Mac Mini and at the same time run it on a PC

yes

Ok, because a friend of mine when I tried to install my from backstage rns dmg file on his Mac, it didn’t work, was that because of his name in the system and not my name, because my regged Windows Renoise says registered to Marcel Roos, so is it important when I get the M4 Mac to name it Marcel Roos or something?

No…Renoise protection doesn’t protect from piracy…But pirating Renoise is a dishonor

Yes, now I am happy it didn’t worked out, and I know I was giving him something he should pay for, so happily seriously it didn’t work but I still wondered why see, but no the guy is a cheapass criminal and an asshole, yeah (his choise) but I still wondered why it didn’t work

The demo version is really good to learn…just a ā€˜little wave’ of noise sometime

Oh Levanti I use Renoise since vs. 2.8, so demo? Why?

Plus I made a ton of music with it, I got the coolest vst’s,p and I just want to install the full version on the OSX Seqoia

No this guy wants Apple stuff, he doesn’t know what Renoise is, he probably thinks it is a amiga program, so that’s why I am happy it didn’t install on hihs mac this is 15 years ago

you are free to use it on Linux,Mac-OS,Windows,Raspberry…

If he want a thing like protracker,Renoise is the spiritual continuation

No I just bought Renoise the version back then was 2.8, and I only hope I can install it without problems on the M4 Mac Mini coming soon to me see? But I keep the PC and want to run it on both, it wasn’t a problem when I installed it on a Linux os years ago, so ok thanks man, so it should be alright

I know, but the guy is very visual orientated and tI remember he used to own an Amiga, and I am sure he thinks Renoise is some cheap DAW, which it ofcourse isn’t,. No I have no contact with the guy anymore because the path he chose to live by.

Renoise can maybe help him…the next-gen protracker

ā€œBig salt in main cornersā€

Renoise v3.4.4 will work on Apple Silicon (am currently running it on a M3 Pro laptop) - just get the Apple Silicon version.

it’s a bit interesting that it’s called ā€œM1ā€ as opposed to Apple Silicon or ARM

i didn’t realize 15 years ago, was fucking 2010.

expect to get thoroughly pissed when you realize you can’t run anything 32bit, without rosetta or someshit. and all your vsts are worthless, and the security watchdog, sentinel, quarantiner, will, just make your overall experience using macOS, a world full of writhing hatred. like, fuckin tim needs to, must want to, must need to, cook, or breakfast.

I wish i could sue those motherfuckers. And win.

I also wish i could cause circa 2003-ish again Today, when we could express our righteous anger(s) with all of the complete package of corporate stooging, by retelling them of the very imaginative and vivid natures in which we were able to handle our disagreements, by stating the wildly vivid yet mostly metaphorical tales of our fantastical way of living by saying something of deep meaning as "I oughta come back later, to brighten this business’s establishment whom so clearly loves ā€˜Someone’s’ 'mother, with a large offering of arabic magicians having A blast. Truly exciting times we live in.
