The delay is a well known amplesound thing. There is a setting for that, forgot where it was.

Thanks for the hint, I figured it out. 
Go to settings/sample and change the start time in the global envelope from 0 ms to 50 ms. Just like this:
Once you’ve done that it sounds like this:
Pretty strange though. I would have expected more latency with an increased start time. Anyway, it works.

Ample is my top choice for guitars, but they’re all a bit pricy
