Help Figuring Out A Rhythm Pattern

Hi,
I always have this rhythm pattern in my head and I think I can play it with my fingers on the table, but I cannot reproduce it in Renoise.

So the song is this:

The drum pattern that starts about at 0.28, that sounds a bit like: tum pa tum pam tum paaa

Im’trying different combination in the delay column, but nothing.
Any help?

if you want to copy the beat exactly you should have the same BPM in renoise as the song has. maybe then it’ll be easier.

how many lines per beat do you have?

So this might not be perfect, but I think it’s in the ballpark:

The BPM is 137, with 4 lines per beat. I think the “secret” for stuff like this is the kind of shuffle with the high hat. You can leave almost everything else on beat (there are a few notes here and there that get delayed), but by “shuffling” the volume of the main high hat, you can get that swing feel. You can go in further to the delay column if you want it a bit more.

It sounds like they’re working in triplets.

Try this:

Set the lines per beat to 6.

Put kicks on 0, 6, and 12. Put toms on 4, and 10. And put a snare on 16.

And please let me know if that’s any help whatsoever.

I was going for triplets too, but I’ve always have 8 lpb so I use track delays. Your version seems pretty close. Here is what I came up with:
