How Best To Handle Multiple Column Midi Drum Data

Hi-

I have a midi file that maps all the drum info to one track when I open it in Renoise [it’s three columns of drum Midi data on a single track]. Now I could change the instruments per column or split the multiple colms to multiple tracks, right?

  1. Any method works better?
  2. How to do either tasks?

For splitting the drum track into separate tracks, according to the single drums, you can use my tool: http://tools.renoise.com/tools/split-separate-tracks
