I just bought renoise i am new to renoise, and have Kontakt, and I’m trying to know how do you drag and drop instruments into ur instrument bank? I am able to load and open kontakt from renoise but I dont understand how to load kontakt’s built-in instruments into Renoise’s audio bank.

First, load Kontakt into an instrument slot by using the drop down plugin menu,
Open the Kontakt bank you want,
Save THAT as an xnri(Renoise instrument) in whatever folder you choose.
From that point you can drag and drop the xnri that you saved into the instrument slots just like a sample and the Kontakt bank along with its settings will be recalled.
Remember the Kontakt banks aren’t actually plugins even though in the Kontakt environment they are treated like that. Xnri’s are like snapshots of plugins AND samples so this works with plugin presets too.
It’s pretty awesome when you can save instruments regardless of what plugin was used and they are all loaded and treated the same. Heck you can even save the default setup of any plugin as an xnri so you don’t have to use the plugin menu at all
