How do Optimization of an Instrument?

I really dig Synth String Thing, by Danoise Deccan, but every time I try and do anything fancy my computers CPU gets bogged down and a dialog box pops up that says “The audio engine was stopped because it used too much CPU for quite a long time. Is there a way of optimizing the instrument so it runs better?

Depend on what OS you use how it’s configured. Might be good to know your CPU/RAM specs as well. On Linux one can make adjustments via Jack, on Windows I understand ASIO4all is preferred. The only way to optimize the instrument itself would be to dig into its code and tweak it if possible.
