Since renoise has a limit to how many samples can be loaded into an xrni it would be really helpful to be able to get a count in the status/tooltips area that shows how many samples are currently selected before attempting to load them in.

quick follow up: a good way to try to predictably load as many samples as you can into an xrni for whatever reason that you might want to do that is to expand the instrument browser by hitting “more” in the bottom right, shift select the entire view, click between the vertical slider bar and down arrow to move down one full page, shift select the second page, repeat until you have three pages shift selected. That’s just below 256 samples. works for me, but a sample count in the tooltip area would be cool one day.
