The Prodigy rule…I’m a bit old school so started from the Experience days, but followed up to the present and have been enjoying the ride, some high and some low (baby temper = error, and fire starter actually).
Anyway, just a glitch or two - still got cassette single of Wind It Up with the sticker actually still rock my tape deck in the car with the Experience album, analogue tapes still going and sounding great against that tin foil CD player sound and compressed to death MP3, anyway.
I was at an event a year or so back, retro gaming stuff, and a few of us spent some time trying to agree after a few beers on the best UK band…despite all being from very random musical backgrounds, we all landed on Prodigy universal.
Love or hate the new/old stuff, for sample heads of punk break madness managing to go underground and hit above ground with commercial success, truly great dance tunes.
I’ve read some random things about Liam and the musical process, kinda interesting, and the classic ‘friend of a friend’ worked on production of Invaders, and sounded like LH got the riffs down for the first few singles and the production guys did the rest, true or not I don’t care, I bloody love the music!
…and that, is what is important, makes me head nod and turn up la volume. Just my 2p as a Prodigy fan!
Cheers,
LW.
