How to create an autogapper?

hi, i’m wondering how to create an autogapper using an analog filter + LFO and sync it up to LPB & pattern length?
I had a legacy method of creating it, but the parameters have changed so i don’t know what that is anymore.
is there a doofer example somewhere maybe?

I’m not exactly sure what an “autogapper” is… Is it like a trance gate, where there’s a tempo-synced LFO controlling the volume or filter?

Yup thats what it is
Ill check 2.8 renoise to see what it looks like and what it sounds like, hopefully then be able to redo the logic

I’ve got a trance gate Doofer I can post here later

that’d be neat, too!

I’ve got a sort of Dubstep bass that has macro-selectable lfo speeds. It uses a second LFO to lock it to Straight or dotted notes. You can probably do the same thing with a formula device if you’re better at scripting than I am.

"Trance Gate

Essentially the same as “Pulse Gate,” but with a custom LFO better suited to trance-style gating effects. The real magic of this one comes in setting up unique rhythmic gating patterns in the custom LFO envelope. “Rate” controls the LFO frequency, behavior depends on the state of the “sync/free” macro (6). “Amplitude” controls the magnitude of the effect, while “offset” shifts the median value of the amplitude effect. “Makeup” controls makeup gain compensation. “Shape” allows you to choose between preset or custom LFO shapes as desired, but Custom is chosen by default. You can change the custom shape inside the doofer if you wish for unique gating patterns. “Sync/free” changes the behavior of the “rate” parameter, toggling between LPC synced values and continuous values for the LFO LPC. “Key sync” determines whether the LFO resets on keypress or not, and “Play sync” determines whether the LFO resets on playback or not."
