How to edit the amount of spaces jumped after keypress

Hi there :slight_smile:

How do I edit the size of the jump when I press a note in record mode. I.e. how to I change the jump, say, from 2 spaces to 1 space? I’ve looked in preferences, around the gui and in forums but no luck. The image below might help explain what I’m talking about:

I’ve been trying to figure this out since buying renoise about a month ago and I’m starting to snap.

Renoise is for keyboard eaters.

on pc: Ctrl (the left one) plus a number key (the 1234567890 row above the letters, not the pad) will quick adjust and allow you to let your mouse collect some more dust, it deserves it, the nasty dirty little thing there, oh yeah…

you can even make your own key bindings in setup, for everything, but I guess for this purpose the default is okay unless you want step >9
