How to have "Draw" always on in External Editor of Stepper device?

Hi, I use a multitude of Stepper tools in Instruments. such as
Volume Stepper, Pitch Stepper, Pan Stepper, Drive Stepper, Cutoff Stepper, Resonance Stepper.

but, when i switch between the Steppers, the “DRAW” mode is always OFF. how do i force the “DRAW” mode to always be ON?

as regards shortcuts, these are the only things that reference Draw. one is for drawing in Automation, one is for i guess drawing in sample. i tried the Toggle Draw Mode in Sample Editor, while in Pitch Stepper External Editor, and nothing happened.

how do i proceed?

From my POV,It’s impossible

I don’t say that I’m right

LUA API can’t?

it seems Automation -> Tools -> Draw Tool aka CMD-B is the way to enable/disable it in External Editor for Stepper devices.

however, it also seems that there’s no way to “forget it on” or to “retain it on”.
meaning, if i am cycling through Steppers, and have it on on Pitch - and go somewhere else and return to Pitch, Draw mode is Off again.
so i can’t just go and select all th steppers one by one, press cmd-b on each, and then when hitting the Stepper device, it is on… it is toggled off, when going to a different external editor.

so the wish stays the same:

i wish there was a way to go “Always have Draw Mode ON in every envelope drawing place”.

as of today, the api does not have anything that references Draw in that context.

With LUA API,Can’t you make a sort of “daemon” which send a keystroke on ext.editor openning?

renoise lua api as far as i can understand does not allow for shooting shortcuts.
and i don’t want to go 3rd party on this, i.e. some sort of “if i press, in Renoise, opt-P, then after 20 millisecond press cmd-b” type stuff, that is not reliable and can blow up in my face really quickly.

so "Feature request’

i guess i’ll request “Draw Mode Toggle API Function” rather than anything more complex.
