How to paste (insert) without overwriting?

I would like to move hihats from track 2 to track 1 (insert between the kicks) but when I cut/paste, kicks disappear.

Maybe check the “mix paste” checkbox in advanced options.

Yes that’s it. But why key shortcut don’t work, it hides VOLUME column instead. (CTRL+SHIFT+V).

It is possible to create a LUA tool for Pattern Editor/Mix Copy and Pattern Editor/Mix Paste, using:

  • CTRL + ALT + C
  • CTRL + ALT + V

But the tool must have its own clipboard and attend to all possible selection cases and never paste data into hidden subcolumns. This tool probably already exists. It would be strange if no one programmed it in so many years.
