How to scan .XRNS Files to see which plugin they are using

Hi, I just recently managed to re-acquire an Overloud AudioMidi BReverb -plugin that I’ve used in a few tracks, and now I’m wondering how I could find which of the hundreds of .XRNS files use this specific plugin.

How would I go about finding that out (short of just randomly loading all of them…)

I think you can:

  • Copy all the XRNS in a specific temp folder (to avoid mistakes)
  • Rename all XRNS with ZIP extension (I think ReNamer can do that)
  • Extract all ZIP into separate sub-folders (7-Zip can extract several files at a time into " *\ ")

Then you can search files containing the name of your plugin…
I just checked and it works for me!

EDIT:

Even easier, once you have renamed your XRNS into ZIP, you can directly search the name of your plugin, no need to extra the ZIP into sub-folders, but you have to check the advanced options to activate search into compressed (zipped) folders
