If I set Renoise as the MIDI Clock master, it automatically sends MIDI start or stop signals when playback starts or ends. However, I’d like to send MIDI start/stop signals at particular times in my song. Is this possible? The only mention of it I’ve found is a thread from 2008 where it was stated that, at the time, that was not an option Renoise offered. Has it been added since? It’d make integrating Renoise with hardware much easier.
It is not supported to send System Exclusive (SysEx) messages directly, so no, you cannot send start/stop kinds of messages at particular times in your song.
But I guess its possible to use https://ctrlr.org and build a plugin that can send these message and automate that.
