I just noticed that I can’t enter preset names into my 3rd party synths, because Renoise always uses the keyboard input for playing notes…
I was using Repro-1 from U-he. I clicked save on my patch, tried to type a name for it, and instead renoise started playing… there was no way to enter text inside Repro-1.
how do you work around this?
thanks,
-M

I believe you just need to check (or uncheck) the “Enable Keyboard” checkbox. I don’t have any VSTs installed, but that’s what that is for IIRC

Sounds right, but I can’t find it! Which page / area is it located?
A quick google search just found a section of the manual that says the keyboard is “always enabled,” so… where is this ‘enable keyboard’ box?
thanks!

Apologies for the fact that this wasn’t in the manual. I’ve added it now.

Thanks everybody, I kept looking around the main renoise interface, but now I see that it’s on the plugin window itself! Excellent.
Thanks for updating the manual, Achenar!
cheers,
