Very nice and very groovy but the drums need some eq or some saturation ,the hats and the snare specifically sound very harsh at times.

This is a pseudo “generative” song, using the maYbe command on the lead melody synth. I then wrap it with some more conventional drums, piano, and bass to make it something of a synthwave ballad or something. It’s still it a work in progress but I thought you might like to hear…

I haven’t heard the original mix, but this one sounds very nice. What kind of monitors did you get?
I’m looking for new monitors myself as my rokit 5 makes a shitload of noise every time i turn them on. Thinking about getting a set of Yamaha HS5 MP.

I got the KH120 Neumann. I wouldn’t get the HS5. If you have the space and a treated room get the HS8. If it should be smaller and cheaper I would choose Adam TV5 or JBL305 or Kali LP6. Also Kali In5 is an option. Hs5 has less bass than your Rokits

Thanks for the advice, i will look a bit more into it. I don’t have much to spend, so the price tag is already a bit too high for me on the HS5 atm. I have actually also concidered some cheap behringer monitors just to get rid of that awful noise from my rokits.
