Heavy stuff!Not my cup of tea because of my age and listening music at high volume all my life I just canât stand tracks like this anymore.But itâs a great track overall
Nice video, nice song, nice composition, dig it. But the drums are too soft and need more punch.
Nice composition and sound creation with a pretty good mix for somebody whoâs not mixing anymore.
Perhaps you could add this to the chain in your master channel. And I agree with @eretsua regarding the âshut upâ sample.The track would be cooler without.
More alternative Pop and less weirdo stuff!
I think youâve found your style. No need to produce everything anymore, the time to focus on at most 2 styles has come. Now grab âFinding Emoâ and your recent âChoose Your Truthâ, create a couple more songs in this style and put them on an EP. Personally these are my favorites of everything youâve done so far, because I think these are the most âcompleteâ songs and most âcompleteâ in its style. And donât forget about proper mixing!
Nice demoscene style from back in the days with nice melodies, but the background synths are too soft and the main leads are too loud. Nevertheless I dig it.
Nice song! I just would redo parts of the mix, because there is muddiness and the song would benefit from some clearness, especially in terms of the pads. The drums are pretty soft, too, especially the kick. Is that intentional? And I would also think about a reverb on the snare. Especially in the second minute of the tune the snare sounds pretty short and inappropriate. Anyway, well done.
@lilith
Ja Mann, âSpirit Cookingâ is very nice! Airy pads in a trancey tune giving a 90s vibe. Nice chords and minimalistic melodies, thatâs pretty cool. Espcially from 1:44 the tune starts to get great, I especially like the âpluckyâ synth that appears. It reminds me of an old tune I donât know the name. If you cut 3:00-3:30 the song would be even better. This song doesnât need this kind of variation, itâs quite the opposite.
@AQBreee
Yes, âAstral Lullaby for Depleted Dopamineâ comes straight outta 1994. I dig this âHardcore Trance with a little bit of treated Acidâ style. I just wonder what happened to the low ends in this one. It looks like youâve cutted a little bit too much. Sounds kinda flat.
itâs just some renoise theme tweaked to my liking.
drop me your email in a message and i will send the xnrc file to you if you want. (remind me itâs for the theme)
Thanks for your feedback! Yeah, i decided to redo the mix entirely and add some additional stuff.
Yeah, it was intentional to make the kick deep and remove the high frequencies with some upward compression, i basically wanted to do something like HOME did with Resonance, but i guess iâm not that great with compression yet since the kick could be way more powerful. Iâm gonna try to fix that.
Same with the snare, i agree, The drums already had a room reverb in themself, but i could have apply more reverb, upward compression to it as well and remove some of the high frequencies (once again, i wanted to try to do what HOME did)
Oh thanks a lot! Itâs a relieve to know that it doesnât need expensive VST plugins, but just a 800 kB freeware program to make nice tracks :). Some people complained that the track needs an additional element, so I added the part after 3:00 which fits nicely imo.
If you want to sound like HOMEâs Resonance you shouldnât cut the high frequencies from the kick. Heâs using a typical âSynthwave Kickâ that has a clearly audible âclickâ. These types of kicks are never âdeepâ! And thatâs why your kick isnât powerful. The snare isnât bad as long as the beat remains even just like in HOMEâs Resonance, but youâre also playing with an uneven beat, and therefore this type of snare is inappropriate. In any case the snare needs some audible reverb.
Not even that. You could make nice tracks just by using your mouth onlyâŚ
The part from 3:00-3:30 isnât bad, I just think it doesnât need a ânew string melodyâ C, C# and C, which doesnât really fit. The song would come full circle without that part anyway.
You mean the tonality sounds wrong? For me it sounds right
Seen your stuff on youtube when browsing Renoise content. Both tracks are really good, proper throwback business - have you submitted them to any labels?
Thankyou. I dont release on labels days. I may pop stuff up free on soundcloud or bandcamp. Just a bit of fun and nostalgia .
Hmmyes, mausgerutscht on the lowcut.
I should let my stuff lay low for some days after i think itâs finished and listen to it again with rested ears.

Some short IDM tracks made in Renoise.
Theyâre mostly from last yearâs Noisevember, an event I hold with some friends every year. In this event, we make a different track/patch/performance everyday until the end of november. Itâs an amazing experience, really.
Just some tiny orchestral stuff.
Lovely chords, nice overall sound. I like chipsounds and I love that Jean Micheal Jarre-like lasersounds Great work!
