Thanks for the tip, will listen to that song tomorrow.
and anotherā¦ done with Reaper.
Hereās a sorta dub album I made a while ago with Renoise!
I liked this one quite much. Reminds me of something forgotten long ago (but canāt recall what exactly). Sounds are somewhat harsh (but who am I to say, my songs are not prime examples of matering/mixing :D), but as you said, they are not out of place. Nice work.
Thanks, i liked the one you posted too. I compared your mixing with mine and i must say yours is 10 times better.
And it also seems like you know how to play the guitar, which is my main problem.
What do you use for your guitar tones?
I usually use Guitar Rig 6, Heavier7Strings FX, and/or GTR ToolRack.
Itās a decent tune but Iād say the mix is a bit off. Too low-mid heavy. Itās tricky to get that right. There are also some harsher, brighter sounds jumping out. To me they do feel out of place. Maybe you can try taming those a bit.
In a very concrete suggestion Iād say reduce everything from 200Hz downwards by couple of dB. And boost by a couple dB around 800Hz, maybe?
Iām currently trying to get used to the idea of expressing myself through singing, therefore Iāve been recording voice+guitar original songs with lyrics for instagram reels. In portuguese, which is my mother tongue. I know nobody here will probably want to listen to this style (mpb, or āmusica popular brasileiraā, which translates to āpopular brazilian musicā), but Iāll just share my most recent one here anyways, Feel free to ask me for the lyricsā translations if anyone is interested.
Starting to upload tracks I make with Renoise here:
No there are many of us who will listen to any genre as long as its good like yours here.Great singing in my opinion but i hate Instagram because when i go to another tab it stops the video and i must be in the same tab to listen through the end.Upload
your tracks in some other platform like youtube and soundcloud ,its way better for music makers, also offer captions in English so we can understand what the song is about.
Strange track but i love the groove!!
second track using vocals, iām in a happy place, lolā¦
Great one man !!You know you could make a career these days using only virtual singers
That was freaking awesome!!!
What an artistic way to dress up those lovely sounds!!
Some jazzy drum n bass someone?
That sounds great! I like the combination of DnB with Jazz instrumentation and feel. I did a few similar songs a few months ago, and after seeing yours I figured I would share mine here as well. Any feedback is greatly appreciated; theyāre older works but I can always improve:
