@TNT
Thanks! Yeah, I agree different genres with different accents. But I like that combo because reggae is more rhythm oriented and works great with acoustic instruments. Synthwave is more melodies/harmonies oriented with more synths. I posted my reggae dub before (probably a few years ago), so you might heard it there!
Synthwave could have playful (and cheesy) melodies, but itās rhythm oriented as well (especially when it comes to Outrun or Cyberpunk). Itās electronic all the way, thatās the difference. Everything about Synthwave is pretty simple, especially the song structures and melodies. Thatās why I like it, and thatās why I produce Synthwave myself, just like you as a āside projectā (real āElectroā is my āmain projectā).
I think you are absolutely correct
Hereās a recording of a gig i played last weekās friday at the Live Ambient Festival in Pori.
This is the Plugged Into Nothing concept, so everything is live-sampled, using two unplugged cables, as the only soundsource. I record it live into Renoise (heavily making use of Paketti), into Pure Data (using a self-built looper-sampler-effect script) and Ableton Live (controlled by AbletonOSC, mouse + keyboard). The TouchOSC setup I have running on iPad lets me control Pure Data, Ableton Live and Renoise.
Great album,nostalgia hit me hard listening to this
Nice!!! I would call this Terminator, here are some lyrics
that fits nicely, in my head that is
Sometime i feel i am in a movie
Something vicious is hunting me down
I cant escape,i am trapped and i am lonely
Something is coming,something that cant be stopped
Terminator,Terminator ,Terminator is coming for you !
Terminator,Terminator ,Terminator nothing you can do !!
I would also search for voice samples from the terminator movies and put them in there somewhere ,it could work like it did in my track Hunted.Here is the remix by heartbeathero
Thank you for the feedback! Happy you got nostalgia vibes from it!
