Just an exploration of crystalline textures and shifting sonic landscapes.
Thank you!
i will try. I guess screenshots wouldn“t tell that much.
Most instruments like the bass, strings, brass, epiano and guitars are layered and played trough Sampletank 4. Some instruments sound pretty descent in combination.
Also some synth pads are playing in the background from Surge-XT.
For the most prominent guitar stabs one layer is panned to one side and another to the right.
Some gaps are filled with chopped oldschool sax stabs which are partially played backwards and forwards. The main drums come from a tune by Barry White i believe.
Around 4:00 there is a chopped sample by R&J Stone exposed which for a large part is playing lowpassed throughout the song. This initially was the main inspiration.
Percussions are send to one bus and all the other sound to another and EQ“ed differently.
Effects are mostly native Delay, TAL Reverb (+ native Gate to shorten the tail) and TDR Nova GE as EQ. On the Master sits a TDR Kotelnikov as limiter.
Just saying there were a lot of tracks like this one in the past in the Eurovision contest.
Probably not with the instrumental trance chorus, though ![]()
amazes me what can people do with only 3 tracks haha
are those only samples or did you make them before ?
My projects are always between 30 and 60 tracks (including groups, sends, duplicates I keep for my hardwares, posted about this earlier this week)
Whole discography is done on Renoise besides a few songs a year back. This one was done in a single sitting, 12 hours. Love how Renoise makes me forget time
Thank you for listening, this song contains 3 samples/instruments: a breakbeat, a sample of a Japanese song and a clip of Da Ali Ga Show.
Martin! You should release more music. Itās always a pleasure to listen to your straight fire stuff. Iām having a really bad time atm and those are sounds that are required for brighten the mood. Thanks! HQ as always, like āSuperluminalā. No critics, just enjoyment. ![]()
Itās been a while, Ragnar. Nice work! The style isnāt my cup of tea and itās as experimental as always, but I like what youāre doing technically, 2:25-2:35 for example. And you seemingly worked on your mixes. ![]()
Willkommen Herr Kaltklang! I get the idea, itās just too distorted imho. I wouldnāt consider this to be Schranz, too fast. But nice to see some more Techno stuff in here. ![]()
Ah thank you, what genre name would fit better then? I had difficulties trying to give it one (always do)
Whats up TNT ? Here in Greece we have a saying that goes like this : Every obstacle is for good.
Yeah, itās not that easy nowadays. Millions of sub-sub-sub-sub-subgenres⦠From my perspective as an āoldschool guyā, I would call it āHardcoreā. Although the example song in this video is way softer than your song, but thatās a more āmodernā perspective.
High costs, less income, troubles and a lot of stress due to my move. Greed and unreliability all around. Society sucks and itās getting worse and worse.
Oh, Iāve forgot that Iāve finished a remix in between my daily life:
Most people are in the same position i guess and yes the world is falling apart and there is nothing we can do about it sadly .But as my late Grandfather said to me-be patient we only live 80 years or so
.16 years since he passed in my arms,he was a funny guy ,i hope he is somewhere better, cause you never know there might be something outthere for us after this life.
excellent sound
very good
Thank you!
Hello T, I am flattered. Thank you!
I only manage to finish a tune once or twice a year. There is just so much other baggage to take care of. Many of us are struggling these days. Personally, creating music always helped me making it through hard times. Take care!
Love the sound design and atmosphere / textures on āThe Stratosphere Enigmaā especially the break around 3:00, awesome work!
