well, depends on what you want to achieve, and what you have in the ‘arrangement’… you could always improve anything by adding parallel inject with smooth saturation… but if you have specific goals/ideas, then it’s piece of cake… the worst case scenario is not knowing where to start and what should be prioritized in the mix…
common issue: people ought to spread the mix of the song for the ‘better’ stereo image/placement of the elements, but when the whole song is too wide, then it’s not wide actually because the listener did not percieve the difference… aaand so on goes for the compression, freq spectrum etc… really it’s a phiolosphy… well… that’s enough from me i guess :D:D
@ffx why the heck i cannot send you private message? i wanted to say if you want to hear some of my ideas and approaches, feel free to message me or we can have a screensharing session!
Thanks!
Well, sure it does, since he’s also one of my main influences among Alchemist, Pete Rock, J Dilla, Marco Polo, M-Phazes, Croup… Kev Brown… Now, we need an MC influenced by Guru of Gangstarr

This gives the feeling of the best sounds/times of the 90s - like you may have gotten your mitts on a Kurzweil synth or the Ensoniq FIZMO! The twang/buzz of the main sounds and those relentless drums - beautiful. Brings back memories of shows, music, times that may or may not have existed.
You dont need to be a rapper and this track although it sounds like a rap beat it could go other ways than a rap song,. Maybe I could sing some jeberish on it to demonstrate a different vocal approach when I have time.
