There is some “unwanted” frequencies …“drifting” fingers
Maybe a “De-esser” can do the job (I never used one)
Well, personally i like it. I don’t want ecverything to sound too perfect either, maybe the fingers are a bit loud, but that’s mostly because i used a preset on my GT-001 with a lot of fingers.
the peaks are high
just a suggestion to decrease the peaks
They look like “Narrow bandpass resonant” filter in the high frequencies
Maybe this can do the job
Hello friends
I hope you are doing well. Personally, I had 2 months empty, even music could no longer inspire me.
Too much shit happened in life.
But as always, one comes out of the bad experiences in life strengthened.
Stay healthy and most importantly, never lose your sense of humor.
Today there is something on the ears again.
I think it’s pretty well done, of course there’s still plenty of room to go up, but it gets better and better with time.
Kind regards Mathias
Drum n’ bass is the best school to learn mixing
thanks! glad if it resonates…
here’s that track in isolation. all done in renoise
Did this in Reaper, wanted to test it out after years of not using it
No difference for me,again
@ffx No expert but… Like the second one B) the best, more clear than A) better panning than C).
Great job man and Reaper rocks big time
A)
or
B)
I prefer the B drums… A little more compressed ? I dunno…
BTW, nice tune !
I really can’t tell the difference they sound same to me.Anyone of them you decide to release it will be ok
Warning: A frantic video full of flashing lights:
Fast & complex breakcore made in Repear.
Bending the rules slightly here, as this is by my dear friend. But I helped a little here and there along the way. Her debut EP Byzantine Interrupt got released today. Available for free download through Edsillfor Recordings
Display a warning about the flashing images in the video because there are epileptic people who could get hurt.I have also another problem in my eyes and it gives me a headache. The track is good i liked it
@XTD I like the sound of this. And I think it is good there are some subtle developments As in, it gets a bit fuller over time. And I wish it would continue to build over the track.
If you’re up for some feedback please read on. If not, ignore the rest:
i think it could benefit from some (rhythmic) variation. It gets kind samey after a while. After the bridge it just says the same thing as before. I know our fellow forum dweller @tnt argues that is part of the syntnwave style. But I think that is a waste. Both of you have a lovely palette of sound. I’d love for you to connect a few different ideas, tell a story and take us on a journey with those pretty sounds. The atmosphere is there. And now it just needs to go somewhere.
Anyway, those are just my thoughts on your music, expressed with the best intentions. Do with it what you will.
The feels a bit pushy. The HiHat is possibly a bit too loud, but i don’t mind that. It is pleasant otherwise…and maybe a bit too pleasant. Cause it also sounds a bit tame. It could perhaps use a bit more grit? Get a bit more space, a bit more impact, a little bit more distortion. Think a ballad by a rock band. They are sweet but they tend to have a bit of crunch and reverb as well. Anyway, it is just a thought. .
