I would like to hear your music made with Renoise or other Daws

I just checked out First II, not sure I listened to right track as I couldn’t hear the resemblance…

Unfortunately it is that but I don’t give up hope.

Sorry if I confused you. :slightly_smiling_face:
There’s no resemblance melody wise, it’s just a similar style of music, of course with completely different conditions. When I listened to your song for some reason Fist II popped up in my head immediately.

Well, you’re doing good! Look at me, I started in 2011 dealing with mastering after I started creating music in 1991 on Amiga. So after not less than 20 years of happy composing (with a “little” break of 12 years from 1996 to 2008, so acually it’s been 8 years) I decided to go for a better quality, and after I got the basics I had to deal with another break of 5 years (from 2013 to 2018), because there was no time. So in the end there’s a summary of 13 years of experience. Now, you’ve got 3 years. In terms of an experience of 3 years you’re doing good! And you know what to do, you just need a little push in the right direction. You said it yourself, you’re lazy. So being lazy doesn’t mean that you’re not having skills. I’m pretty sure you could do better easily, you just need to push your laziness away, for example when it comes to mixing and mastering.
And come on, everybody has to experience a lot of shit in life. You don’t want to know what I’m thinking about every single day. But hey, life is hard, so you need to be harder. Don’t think too much about it, just do your stuff. There will be an end either way.

Thanks man your words mean a lot.About that lazy thing it’s not like I was like this all my life but that mainly happened after the family/personal issues and depression. So not that lazy but more I can’t focus and I am not a young boy anymore so I get tired easily.Anyway it really does not matter much too me if I finish a track sooner or later, I have patience and if something is bound to be it will be eventually

That’s funny I always say something similar as a joke to make others smile.“It’s 80 years the most so be patient”

80 years? I think it’s over at 65. Not much time left, time is running.

Come on, we’re exactly the same age. :slightly_smiling_face:
And as long as there’s no meaning in life, there’s always a reason to be depressed. Creating music is a good way to forget about all the shit, just dive into the world of music and do what you like without any rules.

Better sooner than later. If you wait too long you already started another 10 tracks and your idea of the first track is gone and you have to restart, so that it probably will never get finished. Or meanwhile you think it sucks because it’s an unfinished piece of crap with a really bad mix in its current status. I know what I’m talking about.
If you feel it right, you can finish a track in one go within a really short period of time. If this isn’t the case I would bet the song wouldn’t be finished. Or you transform it into something completely different later. MUCH later! I had that experience for example with this song. But that’s an exception, mostly it ends up in “data junk” on the hard disk. So you better don’t wait too long. It has to be finished as quick as possible.

Thanks  I did this a while ago, on bitwig though. Now I’m more I to a drum and bass phase but this won’t be forever.
Synthwave is a nice relaxed style. One can focus on melodies, nice pads and synth sound design. I was into the 80’s sound and made my own gated snare… A lot of cool stuff to have fun with.

Good job, sensei! Who’s that on the pic? Seems not to be very happy about your beat.

That’s the point, that’s what it’s all about. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you, sir!
it’s a comedy ‘show’ so to say… 3 guys were doing this (they were not actors in the first place, but became very popular in my country - for their humor)

in short- they are acting as workers in state(govt) company (which is known here for the most laziest work). They spend like less than 1 hour at work each day chatting, they do not do work at all…

Something new. Not sure what to call this style… Tycho-lite? A little frosty and a lot sunny.

I would call it dreamy pop because it was like waking up from a good dream relaxed with a smile on my face.

I’ve been using renoise midi out to control my 6 hardware synths LIVE! its alot more time consuming than programming native softsynth etc, but damn it warm and feels alot more involved/orchestral to have it all physically there. These are the two tracks i’ve made since the all hardware transition. Korg Minilogue, Behringer TD3, Arturia Microbrute, Arturia Drumbrute Impact, Yamaha DX21, Korg NTS-1 all running thru some pedals, alesis nanoverb, into the Boss BX8 mixer.Hella fun, lemme know whatcha think

Thanks for listening! i would reccomend getting one with mici CC, it allows the computer to turn the knobs for you so you can automate parameters just like you might with renoise effects. The minilogue/monologue and bass station 2 have it forsure. im sure most modern synths do.

Thanks for the tip, i am between minilogue and the bass station 2. Which one you recommend ?

if you want to be able to play chords, go with the minilogue. however the bass station 2 has some very cool tricks up its sleeve [afx mode lets you make each key a different patch, allowing you to make drum kits, etc]
