Is it save to say we won’t see this request in 2.8 final, as we’re on the 6th beta already with no hint of external automation window yet?? 
As I’ve said earlier, there will be an ugly LUA workaround for this if not implemented. I think that’s a worse idea though.

I think that this feature should be native, coz sometimes you have to make edit so precize, that little windows just won’t have enough resolution to do editing (it could be altered by just type some numbers, but it’s not so handy, as using points…)
