RAVE FACTORY on ILL FM
RAVE FACTORY IS A DANCE MUSIC PRODUCTION COMPETITION.
All you need to do to enter is to send one of your tracks to

Any genre, any style, any tempo.
The closing date for entries is 7th of July 2011.
We’ll broadcast the tracks on July 14th, with commentary from a panel of
label owners, distributors and promoters and make them available for
download.
The producers of the tracks with the most downloads after 4 weeks will
progress to the quarter finals.
Qualifiers will be called on to create 3 tracks over 3 months in the
following genres :
‘TECHNO’, ‘BREAKS’ and ‘HIP HOP / VOCAL’.
Each month the tracks will be broadcast in front of a panel of experts and
a live studio audience. At the end of the 3 months the producers with the
most downloads across all 3 genres will progress to the semi finals.
Here each contestant will be required to produce 2 tracks :
A ‘HARD AS NAILS’ track & a ‘CHILL OUT’ track.
The most downloaded tracks will advance to the finals!
The final round will be another 2 tracker :
A ‘RAVE POP’ track & an ‘EXPERIMENTAL’ dance track.
The results of this round will determine the winner!
And the prize - a vinyl release!
So fire up your step sequencers, dust off your sound modules and get
twiddling !
Oh and there’s a twist… you may have been thinking… how will I know if
I’ve made it through to the next round when the votes won’t be announced
until the end of each month… you won’t each month we’re asking all the
producers to prepare a track in the next rounds genre / style. Before each
show we’ll be asking our panel to select a track from a producer who
didn’t qualify through the vote (a wild card if you like) to progress just
on the strength of their track alone…
