Importing Notation

Hello. Having a great time with Renoise and the support has been amazing.

I’m wondering if there is a limit to the amount of notes that one can import via a midi file to a track in Renoise? 512 lines at a time? How does one import a Midi file and are there any other ways to import notation data into a Renoise session/track?

Thanks,

Brent

you can load a MID file by simply doubleclicking it in Renoise’s file explorer as you do for XRNS files (you can also indeed drag and drop MID files onto the application as you do with XRNS files).

there is no limitation in length; the only limit is that you cannot load a MID file inside another song: when you import the MID file, a new song will be created, again exactly as it works with XRNS files.

Thank you. I’ll see how it works when the time comes to use that feature.
