It would be nice if the mouseover popup bubbles on long instrument or sample names appeared much quicker. (those on long names that don’t fit in the box) This is a small detail, but it would be very helpful.
Also, for bonus points, make the full name aligned with the partial name+"…" that’s in the list?
That would be a nice little improvement.
Since 2.8 you can actually resize the instrument box. That can be helpful with long names.

The sample box can be resized too, but you have to be very precise with the mouse and very observant of changes in the mouse cursor =)
