Indamixx + Renoise + Cdm Music Production Contest

Well, can we track or see the number of the compo entries?

Update:

Contest deadline has been extended. New deadline: 25th of October.

There’s also a new upload and voting page, here:

The first post has been edited accordingly.

Get tracking!

:yeah:

When using pure samples there is actually no latency.
Only some of the internal effects like the bus compressor have a little latency (which the internal PDC routine will nicely cloak for you).

Whatever latency setting you use in the preferences, the benchmark song will give a cpu read out for that specific setting. There is no default setting to use, as we all have different set-ups/configurations.

You should find a latency setting for your soundcard that works for you (= no cpu clipping/spikes), and check what the benchmark song read out is. Then continue to work on this setting, and don’t exceed the benchmark read-out.

this thing is useful, who made it?

A lot of great music in this contest. Pretty amazed!
Looking forward to this weekend.

Thank you

Could the songs posted on CDM be submitted in time to the actual contest?
Sad to see those tracks not make it in on mere technicality.

Thank you

Hi People!

I finish one my tune for this compo and on the upload stage.
But I have a problem. My english is weak, and I don’t understand how
to make “Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike license”. :(
To much options in this license. I don’t understand where put source file e.t.c.
Maybe organizers can help me with this license? Or if someone here can talk
on Russian, maybe this person can explain me how to make this license
in my language.

Anyway I permit to remix and share xrns files based on my original melody.
But I don’t want permit commercial use it. It’s normal for rules of this compo?

With Respect,
Michael

I have no idea how your Belarus is or your serbian…

Indeed strange there is no Russian translation.

Ok, thanks for information. I can permit BY-SA license for this competition, but how I can do this license? It created automatically after upload xrns, or where i can do it? Link to “http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/” show me some info about this license, but not show how I can do it. I don’t understand this. :(

Thank you for answer! I put such text in song comments and update song:

License for free using this tune by any people here:
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/

Is fit?

When are artists’ votes due?

so man y good tracks… I hope everyone votes!

thank you

Ron

a contest which is very good in quality and surprisingly great in quantity. great work to every participant and cheers to Bantai for the great-looking website!

would be nice with a stream of all tunes on that page. (unless i missed something)

must say that i tend to not listen to things if there’s no stream option and i’m not entirely sure that i will like it. also, it’s easier to plug to friends if you just can send such a link and even individual tracks links.

very nice page!

Not all tracks are available in streamed format. In some cases you only can get the Xrns…

Not everyone owns a registered copy of Renoise… That’s my case since I hoped to win a licence ;) Anyway I’ll buy it as my birthday present :)

Aha, okay… so you didn’t had a spare laptop to hook it’s line-in onto your Renoise-PC’s line out and just stream it over?
There are also wav record plugins that can do the trick btw (if you stuff them underneath the master track) and since your song should not be CPU hungry (which is the average reason what renders a wav-recorder plugin in Renoise pretty useless), i guess that such a plugin will work out for the occasion ;)
Voxengo Recorder does a job.
