Insert Sample Into Instrument?

after using the slicer and generating a kit, I find it’s impossible to modify the instrument very much after that, I keep looking for a way to have the kit get broken up into actual samples or even add a new sample to it, but I can’t seem to find a way of doing either.

Am trying to modify a soft? kit made from a think break, I need to timestretch some of the samples for it to be usable like I want it.
By “soft?” kit I mean when using the slicer, sample 00 is the full sample, and the sample slots after that contain only markers? essentially making it virtual since you can’t actually edit the data in it.
While that is a very cool way of doing things, I’m now stuck trying to figure out how to add another real slot, after having created the map, to add an actual sample.

I must have missed something. XD

alright,
I can see I’ve clearly been beaten.

now the thread is about:

How do you insert a sample after having sliced a sample, into the same instrument?
I see the +/- it just doesn’t highlight after having sliced a sample.

&

Is it possible to split the sliced sample into smaller samples all at once, and lose the slicing in the process?

You can’t currently add samples into an instrument with sliced samples. You can’t slice up one sample in an instrument that has multiple samples either.

You can however rightclick on the sample area and select “Save all samples as” and then bounce all slices to disk.
By manually reloading them, you can then add own samples. Still if you want to slice up smaller samples you have to load each sample into its own dedicated instrumentslot.

Nice one, thank you. :)

It alien needs to upgrade his old slicer script seeing the implementation of destructive slices & slicing according to snap settings won’t make it for 2.7 final.

wrong thread yo.
