i havent used renoise in a long time,finally installed my version of renoise 2.8.2 again
i want to use it for drum loops,as i do the main producing in ableton now
how do i set up renoise so it will run at 180bpm for 4 to 8 bars
i just wanna use renoise to make drum variations
set the bpm in the top of the gui, determine the lpb which amount to lines per beat. If you take 4 beats per bar, you multiply the lpb by 4 to determine the length of a bar in pattern lines.
So…bpm = 180
lpb = 4
1 bar equals 16 lines
4 bars equals to a pattern length of 64, 8 bars 128 and so on…

do i remember incorrectly or could you not see the 09 trigger commands in he sample editor???
err scratch that I misread, you can right mouse click the rulers in the sample editor and select offset as an option.

for some reason it wont let me input the 09xx command correct in renoise 2.8.2
i defo am so rusty i must be doing something wrong
there is a list of all (new) sample commands somewhere
They are in a tiny “FX” with a downpointing arrow just below the tracker area.

does the new commands also effect the older versions of renoise,i havent updated to version 3,im running my old version 2.8.2

The pattern effect commands were changed in the 2.8 release.
