why it cant be a way how it use to be. with other tabs; pattern editor, mixer, sample editor?

edit: also i think is stupid that you have now removed multi sample instrument sample slots from instrument list and moved it to under instrument setting tab…why to change basic functions to so complex and awkward?
Those envelopes are a relic. They still use ticks and weird numbers that make no sense by todays standards. Internally, Renoise handles these in a very arcane and painful way.
There’s a long term strategy that involves changing the instrument format. Coupled with already big changes to the sampler, there is more room to manoeuvre if placed in that location for this release.
About the new multi sample instrument spot:
I guess it will take some time getting used to, also have reservations about it, but I’m already getting used to it. Have you noticed it is also possible to scroll through the samples in the sample editor?
