The drumkit map generation is a great facility, however many times I’d have liked to transpose the kit to be triggered by keys in a lower octave without having to manually assign the samples and the base note of each sample:
if you are already using Renoise 2.6, there is a tool which is called “SplitMap manager”, which is accessible by right-clicking the instrument in the list. from there, you will be able to define the start and end note of the new split
