JACK allows to sync I can run Bitwig and Renoise and sync them up with JACK pretty successfully. Thereās a bit of setup to be done in Bitwig, but it works. I donāt know if that type of setup is needed to sync up Renoise with other DAWs though.
Thanks for the reply. Screen shots at your convenience would be greatly appreciated and helpful. I will review tomorrow, when back in the studio.
Thank you
Tried for a bit today to get it working on my Win 10 DAW. I reinstalled Renoise and I am following your comments. No matter what I do I can not get any rewire devices in Bidule standalone, and the Rewire config option in Bidule is greyed out.
Tried running both apps as administator and I can see Renoise is looking for a rewire master and one is not running. Trying to find useful documentation on PB, is a challenge.
Here is the renoise log:
Renoise as administrator
ReWire Slave: ReWire engine link (Local Machine) is already installed and up to dateā¦
ReWire Slave: ReWire engine link (Current User) is already installed and up to dateā¦
ReWire Slave: ReWire Panel was initializedā¦
ReWire Slave: ReWire Slave mode failed to init (no master is running)ā¦
Thank you, for your help. I will plug away at it this week.
Hereās a screenshot of my bidule patch that I use in ableton and nuendo, this has been part of my templates for years now.
However I updated bidule recently and all my rewire connections in it immediately broke, similar to what you are describing. When I loaded this patch up in the last version, the rewire renoise object loaded but was marked as disabled and rewire was greyed out. I promptly downgraded to a previous installer and it worked again.
Might be worth asking around on the bidule forums.
Also, youāll know if itās working. As soon as you load renoise into bidule, it automatically starts up Renoise for you in rewire slave mode
What version # are you running? VST3 or VST2?
Audio question -
I ran all renoise channels thru discreet buses (including the master bus) into channels in logic and recorded 14 minute jams of a 64beat loopā¦
The audio in logic is going to be have phase problems and comb filtering and loss of frequencies etc, right? It wonāt be natural due to the original tracks being mixed in with the master channel.
Master channel has all the send fx, thatās why itās crucial. But otherwise seldom duplicates the audio in a separate track
For those interested.
Plogue Bidule 0.9777 allows rewire by default, version >= 0.9782 disabled rewire by default per changelog. I have confirmed this via available downloads.
My challenge is that I want and need to run Bidule in VST3 not VST2. Due to VST2 is end of life and will be removed from Nuendo sometime in the future. All projects that I work on will not use VST2 for this reason. Now I may try Bidule VST3 hosting redux (VST2) or Blue Cat connector/patchwork doing the same. My preference would be Bidule VST3 using rewire to Renoise directly for the previous posterās workflow which matches my desired approach.
I am waiting for approval in Bidule forum, to see if there is a way to enable rewire in the current version. I can not find anything in the documentation or online searching and forum until being approved is completely useless when searching.
EDIT: I created this thread in the Bidule forum: Enabling rewire (MAC and PC) in version 0.9785 Standalone and VST3
Version 0.9782 (November 1st, 2022)

For anyone interested in using Bidule to rewire Renoise into another app. Rewire has been deprecated in Bidule due to rewire as a protocol being end of life. See above comment for the version where it was deprecated.
