all the time i try to make a simple dubstep beat, its too rigid…i guess its something i cant go on with dat SPEED/LPB transition or something. Its some kind “breakbeat block” shit.

I’ve made some dubstep tunes using Renoise. Jong Belegen demo song for example, and the tracks in the set Connor mentioned are mine or collaborations.

That song is the shit. Favorite demo song by far. I’ll be spinning it in my DJ sets once I get new a laptop.

A friend at work has challanged me to make a dubstep album. I just need some tips. I know it’s 140bpm half time but any tips on changing the fundimental bpm? the feel of it at say 70bpm. Does it help you with workflow or is the space of a full 128lines 140bpm better? I can’t get the sound of dubstep right, it sort of needs to be minimal but full sounding at the same time.

Of course you can. I hear Justin Bieber is even making his next album with it!

I attempted to make some dubstep in Renoise a few weeks ago. Unfortunately nobody replied to the post and I wanted to know how to improve my work in progress. I would even give the xnrs file if needed.
