I love Renoise and would consider getting Redux if I knew how it could help me. It appears to be a VST and I don’t get how it’s different then Hive or Korg M1 VST or any other. Convince me to buy it and I will. What does it do and why would I want that?
Hm, but don’t you want to use a tracker? I would wait for Renoise 3.1, it will have all features from Redux… Did you buy Renoise?
It does what Renoise does (or will once Renoise is at 3.1) but as a plugin. Generally much more efficient and usable than ReWire. I also use Reaper heavily and find that Redux (I’m only using the demo for now) is better for workflow and getting ideas down than ReWiring with Renoise ever was. It’s like having a mini-Renoise inside of Reaper, and it’s been a lot of fun (despite the demo version hiss). Will be buying Redux myself soon because of this despite already having a Renoise license.

hive is not a sampler, m1 is not a sampler, redux is a sampler = BUY!
you must have a sampler

You don’t really need it if Renoise is your only DAW though, unless you want to make phrases of phrases.

yes, and keep everything in one place is the best choice, but if you have like spare bucks for food or booze or something, you probably should buy redux
you never know, maybe devs are broke and cannot release that most rumored v3.1 so buy shit you dont need and support!!!
Hi!
I created another topic about Renoise vs. Redux.
I have Renoise and I love it. But if I want to create instruments from my Korg Karma, is this better to do with Redux than in Renoise? Renoise also have a sampler that is very good.
