Is there a a way to deal with latency for finger drumming?

Hi, Im trying to use a korg nanopad2 with renoise for live drumming.
There is noticeable latency, too much to be useable as a live finger drumming setup.
Is there any way to deal with this and reduce the latency so that its acceptable for live use?

My computer is a toshiba laptop with i3 processor

Are you using ASIO drivers in Renoise?

Hi, thanks for your response. Awesome, asio4all solved the problem. edit-preferences-audio settings-asio4all…now it plays nice thanks for your help.
