Is there a Tool to remove silence below threshold?

So I see that this tool removed silence beneath a certain threshold

Tool (2.7): Add/Remove Silence

Adds the ability to either destructively remove silent parts of a sample (sounds that fall below a threshold), and the ability to add silence to the end or beginning of a sample. The latter can often be useful for FX processing. Shows up as ‘Add Silence…’ and ‘Remove Silence…’ in the Sample Editor’s ‘Process’ context menu. visit its page. I actually made this quite a lot of time ago but forgot to add it to the tools page [:)]

Unfortunately it isn’t compatible with 3.4. Or maybe I’m doing something wrong. I’ve definitely searched the sampler menu and I see add silence. Removing it below a threshold would come in so handy.

Any suggestions or maybe there is a hidden gem or perhaps an updated version of this that I’ve missed. I sure hope so. If not, how difficult would it be to get this feature back in Renoise. I’d imagine it’d be super useful for others too.

As a workaround you could use a gate DSP device with appropriate settings and render fx to sample

Just checked out the ModFX render, and it sure does. I practically live in the Tools forum, how did I miss this one
