Is There An Easy Way To Cut A Long Audio File, In Multiple Exact Sizes

I often jam in reaktor or whatever and end up with audio file of which i might like a bit, which is let’s say two minutes long. Because renoise doesn’t handle long files that well and the Reaper route is not working so well for me either, i usually just cut the long file up in equal pieces of say 4 bars or whatever and then trigger these in the pattern arranger as normal.

What i would need is a tool which i can tell to cut an audio file in x number of equal sized pieces, or else an audio editor where i can make sure that the selection is always exactly the same size (without having to zoom in it sample level)

any one know of such tools for OS X?
or how do you guys do it? just cut it up as normal and even out slight differences by using sync in the instrument settings

any tips or recommendations to improve workflow would be appreciated

Someone posted a tip for this in another thread just a few days ago… basically, in a blank song in Renoise, start playing the wave in the first pattern, then add a bunch of blank patterns after it… enough to allow the whole waveform to play at the desired tempo… then render the track, choosing the option to place each pattern in a separate .wav file. This will render it in perfect 1-pattern slices!

thanks. i missed that one. will give it a go.
